Your body, your baby, your birth, your choice.

"She understood our expectations and completely surpassed them."

"Christa has a soft spoken, calm demeanor that is perfect for her role as a doula."

 "Great advocate for her clients."

"Her passion and dedication to supporting families during the birthing process is truly inspiring."

Why have a doula on your birth team?

  1. Increased Satisfaction: Numerous studies have shown that women who receive birth doula support report higher levels of satisfaction with their birth experience. Doulas provide continuous emotional and physical support, creating a positive and empowering atmosphere.

  2. Reduced Labor Interventions: Research consistently demonstrates that having a doula present during childbirth leads to lower rates of medical interventions such as cesarean sections, epidurals, and Pitocin augmentation. Doulas can provide comfort measures, suggest position changes, and offer encouragement, helping labor progress naturally.

  3. Shorter Labor Duration: Studies have found a correlation between having a birth doula and shorter labor duration. Doulas assist in labor progression by using techniques like relaxation, massage, and positioning, which can lead to a smoother and quicker childbirth.

  4. Enhanced Bonding: Birth doulas support not only the birthing person but also their partner. By guiding partners in providing physical and emotional support, doulas can help strengthen their bond during this significant event, fostering a deeper connection as they embark on parenthood together.

  5. Decreased Use of Pain Medication: Research shows that individuals who receive continuous labor support from a doula are less likely to rely solely on pain medication during childbirth. Doulas are skilled at offering non-pharmacological pain relief techniques, such as breathing exercises and relaxation techniques.

Having doula support during pregnancy and childbirth can greatly improve the birthing experience by providing emotional and physical support to the parents throughout the entire process. Our expertise in promoting relaxation and offering personalized guidance can help reduce anxiety and increase confidence, leading to a smoother and more positive birth outcome.

About Me

Hi, I’m Christa 🤍
I’m a Birth & Bereavement Doula, Certified Breastfeeding & Human Milk Feeding Educator, and Placenta Encapsulation Specialist serving families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and loss. I offer compassionate, evidence-based support to help you feel informed, respected, and empowered throughout your journey into parenthood.

How I Found My Way to Birth Work

My journey into doula work began in 2017, when I hired a doula for my own birth. That experience profoundly shaped how I view birth support and inspired me to learn everything I could about physiological birth, advocacy, and emotional care. After welcoming my three children through very different birth experiences, I felt called to support other families as a professional doula.

Supporting All Births and Birth Settings

As a birth doula, I’ve supported a wide range of birth experiences, including unmedicated births, epidural births, inductions, spontaneous labor, planned cesareans, VBACs (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean), home births, and hospital births. I believe birth is not one-size-fits-all. There is no right or wrong way to give birth — only what feels right for you.

Calm, Non-Judgmental Doula Support

I bring a calm, grounded, and empathetic presence to every birth I attend. I have a special passion for supporting VBAC families, pregnancy and birth after loss, and those hoping for unmedicated or low-intervention births, while fully supporting clients who choose epidurals or medical interventions. My goal is always the same: for you to feel safe, heard, and supported.

Pregnancy Education, Advocacy, and Informed Choice

I believe education is a vital part of birth preparation. Throughout pregnancy, I provide evidence-based information, emotional support, and guidance so you can make informed decisions with confidence. By building a trusting relationship, I’m able to support you in creating a birth experience that aligns with your values, preferences, and goals.

Experience You Can Trust

I have about four years of personal breastfeeding experience and am a Certified Breastfeeding & Human Milk Feeding Educator through Birth Arts International. This training allows me to support families choosing to feed their babies human milk with compassionate, evidence-based education.

I also previously spent over three years working as an on-call doula with a midwife group, gaining extensive experience across a wide range of births and clinical settings. Today, I am fully dedicated to my own doula practice and the families I serve. I am trained in Spinning Babies and incorporate comfort measures and techniques influenced by hypnobirthing and physiological birth practices.

Respecting Your Choices

Respect is at the heart of my work. Whether you are planning an epidural or unmedicated birth, a hospital birth or home birth, my role is to support your choices without judgment. I pour my heart into every family I work with and consider it an honor to support you during such a meaningful season.

Additional Services

In addition to birth and bereavement doula support, I offer breastfeeding education and support and placenta encapsulation services as separate offerings. These services allow me to continue supporting families during the postpartum period in nurturing, practical ways.

"5 stars isn’t enough for Christa, she was a HUGE reason I was able to get my unmedicated delivery i so badly wanted, she helped keep my mind and body relaxed all throughout labor and help my body naturally progress to get me to holding my baby. My husband was skeptical at first for hiring a Doula but quickly changed when he saw just how much she did for me durning labor. She is also so responsive durning pregnancy and post partum, she actually came to our house to help make sure baby was latching well and gave me so many tips and tricks for breastfeeding. I cannot recommend her enough, and can’t wait to use her for future babies ❤️"
